I let Stacey down. When she invited me to hike on saturday, she said it wasn't going to be easy. But i told her i could handle a five hour hike. "No problem!!" i exclaimed. Of course I was wrong, and the Mauumae Ridge (Lanipo) Trail got the better of me. I couldn't finish. I suppose part of growing up is acknowledging one's limits.
